About the Author
Kecia Campbell is the author and one of the two friends of this inspiring story. Kecia is an encourager who loves to come alongside and walk with women through their journeys with friendship, prayer, and tangible support. She has a strong passion and heart for people and their stories. This passion has resulted in the founding of “Bringing Stories to Light,” a platform designed to highlight and share these inspiring stories with the world.
The main focus of her life has been spent nurturing and bringing up her children and educating them at home. During this time she has also worked in early childhood education as a nanny and tutor, supporting multiple families in raising confident, well-adjusted children. In her spare time, Kecia has served as a disaster responder for Crisis Response International, as a chapter leader for Kingdom Writer’s Association, and is trained to provide crisis intervention to survivors of trauma. With a Bachelor of Social Work degree, she has worked in various social service settings including the American Red Cross, El Nido (a transitional living program for homeless women and children) and in several foster care programs.
Her greatest honor in all of this has been living a life dedicated to Christ, her daughters, her grandchildren, and her husband Greg of thirty-three years.
About Aubree
Aubree is the late friend of the author and the main character and inspiration behind “Faith Beyond the Fires.” Aubree lived her life as a beautiful light to all those who had the privilege to know her. It was in Southern California that Aubree grew up and became a strong woman dedicated to her family and her faith. She sought out a full life of adventure and showed an unusual determination in whatever she set out to achieve. After several years of traveling along the West coast and Hawaii in her late teens and early twenties, Aubree committed her life to Christ, met her husband, settled down and started a family.
As a mom and wife, Aubree was completely committed to her family and to her faith in Jesus Christ. She loved to make life richer for everyone around her. Her children were gifted with full-time loving care, teaching, wonderful parties, and adventures with their mom. She loved to garden, sew, raise animals, and spend time with friends and family. Her smile lit up the room wherever she was present. In her last several years as she faced serious illness and an unexpected pregnancy, Aubree’s determination and faith is what spurred her on to endure challenges that many of us cannot imagine.
